The resulting CO₂ reduction or storage performance is quantified according to the Klim methodology and externally verified by TÜV Rheinland. The certificates presented below represent these verified climate performances.
The verification ensures that the measures and data documented by farmers are checked and that the resulting climate performances are traceable. Additionally, TÜV Rheinland checks annually whether the certificates have been calculated correctly according to the validated Klim methodology. More information on verification here.

Klim supports farmers in implementing regenerative agriculture and connects them with companies that wish to financially support this development. Through the Klim platform, regenerative measures are documented and their climate performances quantified. Based on this, verified CO₂ certificates are created, through which companies can make a financial contribution to regenerative agriculture and the associated climate performances. Since 2020, Klim has been building a Europe-wide network of farmers and corporate partners to scale regenerative agriculture broadly.
Participating farmers receive financial incentives as well as technical and digital support in implementing and documenting regenerative measures. Part of the funding comes from the sale of the CO₂ certificates associated with the projects.
Regenerative agriculture includes farming practices that aim to improve soil health and the resilience of agricultural systems. This can include, for example, cover crops, more diverse crop rotations, reduced tillage, and adjusted fertilizer use.
The credit type describes what kind of climate performance the certificate represents. Klim distinguishes between Reduction Credits and Removal Credits. Reduction Credits represent verified emission reductions; Removal Credits represent verified CO₂ storage or removal.
The vintage year refers to the year in which the CO₂ reduction or storage performance underlying the certificate was achieved. It is not necessarily the same as the year in which the certificate was purchased.
