Carbon credits for companies
Invest in soil carbon sequestration through regional carbon credits
Supported by:

Carbon credits from your region

We support and advise farmers in adopting regenerative practices that sequester carbon in the soil and reduce CO₂ emissions.
Companies can drive this transition by purchasing carbon credits, which fosters soil health, biodiversity, and a more resilient agricultural system.
Why carbon credits?

Frequently asked questions about our carbon credits
Each Klim carbon credit represents one tonne of CO₂-equivalent emissions reduced or removed through regenerative agricultural practices. These climate benefits are quantified using Klim's methodology and independently verified.
By purchasing Klim carbon credits, companies financially support regenerative agriculture and the associated climate benefits. The credits are not intended to offset or neutralise the purchasing company's own emissions.
Carbon offsetting involves using carbon credits to compensate for a company's own greenhouse gas emissions.
Klim follows a contribution approach. By purchasing Klim carbon credits, companies finance regenerative agriculture and support measurable climate benefits generated on participating farms.
These credits represent quantified and verified emissions reductions or carbon removals. However, they are not used to offset the purchasing company's own emissions.
The focus is on making a measurable contribution to regenerative agriculture rather than compensating for a company's carbon footprint.
No. Purchasing Klim carbon credits does not provide a basis for describing a company or its products as carbon neutral or climate friendly.
The climate benefits associated with the credits are generated through regenerative agricultural practices on participating farms. They do not reduce the purchasing company's own emissions.
Instead, companies can communicate transparently about their support for regenerative agriculture, the activities they finance and the verified climate benefits associated with their contribution.
Klim works directly with farmers across Germany and other European countries to implement regenerative agricultural practices.
Companies can support projects in specific regions, including areas close to their own business locations, depending on project availability.
This allows companies to contribute to regenerative agriculture while strengthening connections with farming communities in regions relevant to their business.
Klim documents regenerative agricultural practices and quantifies the resulting greenhouse gas reductions and carbon removals using a methodology developed in accordance with ISO 14064-2.
The methodology has been independently validated by TÜV Rheinland. Project results are subject to external verification to ensure that the reported climate benefits are calculated according to the applicable methodology.
Klim helps companies make a transparent and measurable contribution to regenerative agriculture.
Together, we determine which regions and projects a company would like to support and identify suitable participating farms.
Companies receive information about the agricultural practices implemented and the associated climate benefits. Through our Impact Pages, we provide transparent access to relevant project data, carbon credit information and verification details.
Companies can communicate their support for regenerative agriculture by describing the projects they finance, the participating farmers and the verified climate benefits associated with their contribution.
It is important to distinguish this contribution from reductions in the company's own emissions. Klim carbon credits should not be presented as proof that a company's operations or products are carbon neutral or that its emissions have been offset.
