Share your farm details

Tell us about your fields, including their size, location, and the farming methods you’ve used in the last three years. This helps us understand your starting point.

Plan and choose your practices

Work on the Klim Platform to decide which crops and practices fit your land and goals. We provide expert advice, recommendations, and resources tailored to your fields so you can make confident decisions.

Report your field realities

At the end of the year, let us know the regenerative practices you applied on your enrolled fields. This information lets us calculate how much carbon your soil has stored and the emissions you have reduced.

Receive your annual reward

Once we’ve verified the practices you’ve used and it’s confirmed by our third party validator, you’ll receive your first reward for your stewardship of the soil.

Submit your application for an eligible Rentenbank investment loan through your house bank.

3. Complete your Klimabilanz

After registering, you receive access to the Klim Platform. Here, you'll enter your farm data. This process typically takes 60-90 minutes.

How does the 0.25 basis point interest reduction work?

Who is eligible?

Agricultural businesses planning to take out a loan are eligible. Participation is independent of legal form, tax classification, and whether you farm full-time or part-time.

Currently, Klim supports arable and dairy farms.

How and when do I apply?

You must first apply directly with Rentenbank before
March 13 at 12:00 noon.

After approval, you complete your Klimabilanz with Klim.
The loan and interest reduction are handled through your house bank.

Can I apply for the interest rate reduction now, and apply for a loan later?

Absolutely. You can apply for the interest rate reduction without a specific loan in mind.

Can I use the Klimabilanz for other purposes?

Yes.

In addition to qualifying for the interest reduction, your Klimabilanz can also be used for discussions with partners, sustainability programs, or future reporting requirements.

Why was the interest bonus reduced from 0.25% p.a. to 0.15% p.a.?

Rentenbank has adjusted the terms of its interest bonus program. As a result, the interest bonus for new applicants is currently 0.15% p.a., whereas 0.25% p.a. was initially offered. Some older marketing and informational materials may still advertise the original rate. The terms published on this page always reflect the current program requirements and bonus rates.
