About the project

Your partner in regeneration

In this project, we invite you to join us as a partner. Klim supports your regenerative farming practices and provides you with a flexible new income by connecting you with partners across your value chain. Together, we can build healthier soils, stable harvests, and a more resilient future for farming.
Benefits

It pays to regenerate

As a partner in the project, you receive direct benefits for your land, your business, and your future.
Grow your income
Grow your income
Earn recognition and rewards for your transition to regenerative practices.
Reduce potential spending on fertiliser, fuel, and machine use.
Grow crops that could be more attractive to buyers focused on reduced emissions.
Future-proof your farm
Future-proof your farm
Strengthen your soil’s ability to handle drought, flooding, and erosion.
Improve organic matter and crop performance over time.
Increase biodiversity above and below ground, supporting long-term soil health.
How it works

Your path to rewards

After qualifying, you will move through the project in four simple steps.
1. Share your farm details
Tell us about your fields, including their size, location, and the farming methods you’ve used in the last three years. This helps us understand your starting point.
2. Plan and choose your practices
Work on the Klim Platform to decide which crops and practices fit your land and goals. We provide expert advice, recommendations, and resources to help you make confident decisions.
3. Report your field realities
Let us know the regenerative practices you applied on your enrolled fields. This information lets us calculate how much carbon your soil has stored.
4. Receive your annual reward
Once we’ve verified the practices you’ve used and it’s confirmed by our third party validator, you’ll receive your first reward for your stewardship of the soil.
A note about your data
Klim prioritises your privacy and only discloses the necessary information to recognise your carbon impact.

Partners in this project will receive only the name of your farm and the total volume of emissions reduced or removed, nothing more.
A flexible approach

Resilient soil, your way

Regenerative practices help capture more carbon and build healthy soil. You choose the practices that work best for your farm, and Klim will support you every step of the way.
Reduce tillage
Disturb your soil less to protect soil life, improve structure, and store more carbon.
Leave crop residue
Keep leftover plant matter to feed the soil and prevent erosion.
Apply organic fertilisers
Add natural nutrients and carbon that support healthy soil microbes.
Plant cover crops
Grow plants after harvest to improve water retention, add nutrients, and support soil life.

FAQs

How do I know if my farm qualifies for the project?

Please fill out the form at the top of this page. If you qualify for the project, Klim will personally reach out to you with all the details and guide you through the next steps. If we believe another project would be a better fit for you, we’ll let you know and help point you in the right direction.

Do I need to grow rapeseed to participate in the project?

Yes, this project is specifically focused on rapeseed. If you’re interested in participating in a another carbon program, please feel free to reach out via farms@klim.eco. We’d be happy to explore options that might be a better fit for you.

Do I have to change all my farming practices or can I pick what works for me?

We understand that every farm is unique, and the practices you implement should be too! Klim’s carbon programs are flexible, allowing you to choose the regenerative practices that best suit the fields you enrol.

If you need support deciding which practices might work best for your farm, the Klim Platform provides personalised advice and recommendations. Plus, our expert team of agronomists is always here to help every step of the way!

What kind of support will I get from Klim?

The Klim Platform is designed to support you every step of the way on your regenerative journey. You’ll find tools and tailored recommendations to guide you throughout the process. Plus, our team of expert agronomists is always available to help, so you can start your journey with confidence.

How is my carbon storage measured and verified?

To get an accurate estimate, you’ll provide data from the past three years for every practice added to a field. Klim analyses this data to determine your baseline - your average emission reductions and carbon removals. From there, we track your ongoing practices and estimate CO₂ emissions emitted, reduced, or stored compared to that baseline.

Once you submit your data for the year, Klim will review and verify it. An external inspection body oversees our verification process to ensure we meet top regulations and standards.

How often do I need to report my practices?

You’re kindly requested to report and submit your practices once a year, before the autumn deadline. This helps Klim capture your impact and improve the accuracy of your payout throughout the project cycle.

What personal and farm data will Klim collect?

When you first register on the Klim Platform, we’ll ask you to upload your EU Direct Payments Application and provide some general information about yourself.

Upon verification, we may request supporting documentation based on the practices you implement. If so, we’ll reach out to guide you through the process.

Who has access to my data?

Klim prioritises your privacy and only discloses the necessary information to recognise your carbon impact.

Partners in this project will receive only the name of your farm and the total volume of emissions reduced or removed, nothing more.
