Why dairies are acting now:

Advantages of regenerative agriculture
For dairies
Increases security in the supply chains
Risk reduction of crop failures for stable feed production and stable milk yields
Improved relations with farmers and joint project implementation
Staying competitive with reduced-emission milk
Meeting the requirements of customers
For milk farmers
More crop security and income stability in the long term
Increased soil health and biodiversity on the farm
Safeguarding forage milk production through more resilient herds
Cost reduction due to reduced use of fertilizers and pesticides, as well as machinery and diesel
Risk reduction through diversified crop rotation

This is why regenerative agriculture is right for dairies
Calculation of the carbon footprint per kilogram ECM of dairy products at farm level.
Verified primary data of the farmers, which are continuously updated and allow a good comparability of the farms.
Transparent insights into the farm data of their milk suppliers without compromising the confidentiality of the farm data
Reporting in accordance with GHGP and SBTi standards
The steps to implement regenerative measures
Preparation of management plan
Preparation of management plans by Klim's agricultural team.

Individual coordination & onboarding
During onboarding to the digital platform, the optimisations are tailored to the individual needs of the farmers.

Integration of emission-optimised measures
Farmers implement measures and are compensated for the resulting improvements.

Ongoing analysis and verification
The emissions-related data is continuously and automatically updated, made visible and verified.

Information preparation
For a holistic operational view, information is prepared for reporting in accordance with GHGP and SBTi standards.

Expansion of the project scope
The scope of the project is continuously being expanded with the support of experts from the Klim agriculture team.

Case Study: This is how Klim works with dairies
0,5 kg
Reduction of emissions CO₂e/kgECM)
2027
the year of the planned target achievement
50.000 t
Emission reduction and CO₂ storage until 2027
300
Operations after 5 years
Individual support
The participating farmers are individually coached after the inventory of the farm-related data.
Preparation of action plans
The action plans depend on the company's objectives and the circumstances of the farmers: By 2027, 30% of the raw materials used are to come from regenerative agriculture.
Onboarding to the platform
The Platform allows a combination of up to five modules (crop rotation, fertilizer, tillage & seeding, crop protection, specific milk module).
Expansion of the project scope
After the pilot phase: 300 farmers in the 5th project year.
Results:
70.000 t
Emission reduction including CO2 storage after 5 years
Promoting biodiversity through extended crop rotations and additional measures
39 %
Reduction of CO₂ footprint from 1.41 kg to 0.86 kg CO₂ per kg ECM
100%
Transparency for your reporting
The CO₂ storage performance of farmers after 5 years
Stable yields, Reduced ECM and better water storage.

Individual experiences of farmers
Soil health improved through diverse crop rotations
Less erosion from wind and precipitation
More stable feed production through more resilient soils
More exchange between farmers and dairies
